Residence Inn by Marriott Orlando at FLAMINGO CROSSINGS(r) Town Center

This hotel is well worth the money! (after all, they are competing with WDW for customers). My first impression was that it is modern, homey, and very clean. We were greeted by friendly faces - in fact, during our entire stay, we encountered countless friendly, accommodating staff. Our room was spotless and quite spacious. Although the room didn't have an optimum view (I would have liked to have had a pool view) it suited our needs perfectly. An added bonus was free daily breakfast [if I'm being honest, the eggs were pretty DISGUSTING], which had a nice variety for every palate - especially those delicious Mickey waffles! It's conveniently located near Wendy's, Target, Starbucks, and a variety of eateries. Unfortunately I am a WDW deluxe resort snob and even though it's located just off Western Way, that runs into Coronado Springs Resort, that isn't close enough for me. All in all, money well spent.

The inn was absolutely incredible the service was top-notch. From the moment I made the reservation through Expedia and confirmed my stay everything was smoothly. But unfortunately we had a bit of difficulty with our bank in regards to the reservation. So we had to put a down payment but for some reason it was not going through and it had to be before a certain time frame to reserve our room. Nevertheless, the front desk was super understanding and made the exception to pay when we arrive after check in time. The room was exceptional and the breakfast buffet exquisite.The shuttle to the park was definitely a perk to have to be near to it. Definitely recommend to come back to this place.

Nice to stay in a newer hotel. Very clean and great breakfast buffet. Good location to drive to the parks without traffic. I only found the pool to be on the smaller size and in the after the building blocks the sun from the west so it gets limited sun. Also be aware of the extra 10 bucks they charge you to park you car. Just a tack on fee. There is Flamingo Crossings near by with new stores and restaurants opening often. So you are not far from any necessities without getting caught up in the crowds or tourist traffic. I would stay there again.

I LOVE Marriott hotels. However, this hotel is not meeting my expectations. They have not provided the services I'm accustomed to. They've served the same breakfast for the last two days, even though the posted menu said they should be serving other food items. I sure hope the food is different this morning. 😢 There's no dry cleaning service available and no offer to help find one. I don't recall being thanked for continuing to be a loyal customer. There was no water available at the front desk upon check in, and no visible access to water from a water dispenser. I've never been so disappointed in a Marriott brand before.

We stayed in a king suite before and during a move. The lobby and rooms were beautiful and the beds were the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on in a hotel. The first time, the staff was very helpful and accommodating. They provided two office/desk chairs for us to sit on since we have back issues and the sofa and regular chair were too soft. The second time, they refused to provide a second office/desk chair, even though we were there for days. One night during our second stay, the hotel fire alarm went off at approximately 1:30 a.m. Everyone was exhausted, children were crying and many guests had dogs. It was the loudest alarm we had ever heard and it went off for about 10-20 minutes (or more). Everyone in the hotel had to use the stairs since the elevators automatically shut down. This meant that there was no way to escape the deafening alarm while we were all waiting in line on the staircase and moving very slowly. Our room was on the 5th floor. Come to find out, someone had lit up a cigarette in the elevator, which triggered the alarm. The hotel staff informed me that this was a felony. However, since Residence Inn failed to install cameras across from the elevators, there was no way to identify or apprehend the person who did this. In our opinion, everyone should have received a refund for that night since the hotel had no cameras in place, but unfortunately no refund was offered.
